Lubee Bat Conservancy welcomes everyone to our 9th Annual Florida Bat Festival on Saturday, October 26th, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
This unique event will provide a rare opportunity for the general public and wildlife lovers to visit a working research and conservation center to view some of the largest species up-close. This is the only day of the year when the center is open to the public, and is expected to draw over 5,000 people from Gainesville and beyond.
The festival will be held on the beautiful grounds of the conservancy, located at 1309 N.W. 192nd Avenue in Gainesville, FL. This free event offers exciting opportunities for the whole family including games, activities, live music, food, vendors, and a raffle prize drawing featuring a Walt Disney World Parks Package. The Kids Zone area will feature Bouncy huts. Food vendors include Gator Dominos, David’s Real Pit BBQ, High Springs Orchard & Bakery, Tropical Sno, and Sweet Dreams.
